Fantasy and Sci-fi Books With Plenty of Monsters, Magic, Queer and Neurodiverse Characters to Go Around!

Monsters and Maidens Publishing is the home of independent author Madeleine Marie-Rose. Here, we value immersive stories, imaginative settings, and exploring relationships and connections between the human and inhuman — whether that be environments, animals, or even monsters. As our library grows, you can expect books that range from lighthearted and emotion-driven romantasy to action-packed tales where the fate of the world, and sometimes even the universe, is at stake.

Books (and author) are proudly written and raised within the Pacific Northwest, home of Bigfoot, biodiversity, and things that go bump in the night. We may write about robots, mechas, and sentient computers, but every word is made by a human.
